A song that certainly captures adventure, mystery, sci-fi action, and is totally slept on outside Super Metroid! When replaying this game and especially listening to Allison's fantastic version, I felt like the Theme of Samus Aran is a crucial part of the series, even though it hardly gets used outside of Crateria surface and a few other Metroid games! When working on my redo/remake/upgrade album "The Dark Hunter Rises" I had to include at least one or two new tracks and this one was the first I started with! The drums ablaze and harder dynamics in the riffs were inspired by folks like Metroid Metal who arrange brilliant live metal covers, and I hope that adds to some of the fun in the arrangement!
