Destiny 2's Lore and Story from the Renegades expansion sees the impact of the death of a member of the Nine expressed more openly. Earth is dying and the proof of it is all over the lore. Most prominently are the so called "Transmutations" which are instances where Earth is being changed. The blood rain has turned to shards of Iron. The Andes Mountains have turned to Copper. Random Magnetic fields are appearing spontaneously.
