Hubbard played for Henry Ford from 1992-1994. In 1992, as a sophomore Hubbard the Trojans lost in the Detroit PSL city championship game. In 1993, as a junior, Hubbard and the Trojans won the city championship and were a two-point conversion away from defeating the eventual state champions in the state playoffs. Hubbard led the team in tackles as junior. In 1994, as a senior, Hubbard led the team in rushing and tackles. Hubbard was named all-city and all-state and was ranked the #15 Blue Chip player in the state. Hubbard signed with the University of Oklahoma in February 1995.
