In the final Pontiac City Championship game, the Pontiac Central Chiefs snapped a 12-game losing streak to the Pontiac Northern Huskies. The Chiefs also completed the mission and finally beat the Huskies in a close game after several close and disappointing losses in 2005, 2006, and 2007 in double overtime. Central won 12-8.
