This one's in keeping with the theme of abandoned asylums. A story about a law enforcement officer's encounter with something out of this world. I wish this story mentioned some locations, but it was told too well to pass up.

Robert E. Howard is perhaps most famous for his Conan the Barbarian series. He wrote all of his works prior to his untimely death at the age of 30. What people dont know is that Howard was a friend and correspondent of H.P. Lovecraft. Lovecraft gave Howard free reign to use his fictional monstrosities and locations in his work. As such Robert E. Howard is quite the prolific horror writer. I intend to cover more of him.
