I have heard people say that Lovecraft's writing style is way too clunky, and that he had great ideas and concepts, but his writing was inaccessible at times. Maybe this is true to some degree on his longer works, but I find his short works to be downright artful and smooth. That is certainly the case with What the Moon Brings.

Robert E. Howard is perhaps most famous for his Conan the Barbarian series. He wrote all of his works prior to his untimely death at the age of 30. What people dont know is that Howard was a friend and correspondent of H.P. Lovecraft. Lovecraft gave Howard free reign to use his fictional monstrosities and locations in his work. As such Robert E. Howard is quite the prolific horror writer. I intend to cover more of him.

Man this took forever. But I think it was worth it. This is actually an excerpt from the original Dracula that was cut due to the final manuscript being too long. It works well as a stand alone story.
