Week 9 of our van tour of Ireland and we headed back to Killarney to check out Killarney House parkrun. Killarney has been one of my favourite places to visit in Ireland. Not especially for Killarney itself, which is a bit too touristy for me, but because of the amount of incredible scenery, activities and places that are right on the doorstep. Plus it has parkrun!
We couldn't believe how tame the deer were and, although they added well over 5 minutes to our parkrun time, we wouldn't have swapped them for the world. It is truly magical when you get to experience the trust of wild animals. It was lovely to see parkrun Ambassador extraordinaire Tony again. It was fascinating to learn about the history of parkrun in Killarney and to check out the old parkrun route. Huge thanks to the volunteers for this brilliant parkrun. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
