We got up super early so that we would have time to check out a new parkrun on our way from Dunbar to Leeds. Sedgefield parkrun lies just off the A1 so location wise it was perfect and being one of the older parkruns then a visit felt somewhat overdue!

I'm not going to lie, this parkrun blew me away! In some small part this is due to a preconceived notion that there wasn't a lot to see at this parkrun... I couldn't have been more wrong! Hardwick Park is a beautiful setting and the follies, and more recent additions such as the dragon and the playground, make this parkrun a winner. With everything you could possibly need at a parkrun all within a stones throw of each other then this is a perfect parkrun location. Well worth checking out and one I wish I'd have visited sooner!
