World Postcard Day is set for October 1st, 2021and now is the time to share kindness around the globe one postcard at a time. This is the 152nd anniversary of the practice of sending postcards.
Dr. Emanuel Herrmann suggested a cheaper and more efficient way to send correspondence, through a Correspondernz-Karte (postcard). On October 1st, 1869 the AustroHungarian Post supported the idea and the result was the Correspondenz-Karte or today known as a Postcard.

You can sign up at postcrossing.com - it is a free service, all you have to do add an address and start sending postcards to new friends around the globe.
