In today's deconstructing christianity bible study, I want to talk about the history behind Ethiopian Christianity and why it is a completely different religion to what everyone else, including Black Christians in the Americas, practice. As a Black woman who is embracing her spiritual journey and who is critically thinking about religion in the West, these conversations are important for us, especially Black descendants of ensl*ved people, to fully embrace that Christianity is something we were force-fed. Please leave Ethiopia out of our trauma.
