As a Black woman with a disability caused by a stress-induced autoimmune disease (Neuromyelitis Optica, a disease very similar to Multiple Sclerosis) and who has lived a very unorthodox life, I found that when things got hard, Christianity proved no support for my emotional and spiritual needs. In this video essay full of social commentary, I talk about how introspection allowed me to start deconstructing Christianity and begin my spiritual journey.
