This run was done on my stream on 04/25/2010. MBL 1.1 is the DLC for DeathSmiles that came out on 4/20/2010. It's basically the "score-fest" mode of the game. This score was ranked 43/412 (and 16/171 for Sakura runs) at the time it was uploaded.
This is my second 1cc of the new mode, and while I am improving there is still a long way to go on having a GREAT scoring run. I only did level 3 stages on this run, but in order to optimize scoring I need to start taking risks and go for a couple of level 999 stages. I also should stop using the power-up to make the boss fights shorter because it doesn't really help the score, and stop having stupid misses on easy patterns. I mistimed some power-up mode activations too, but the easiest mistakes to see are the plethora of misses in the volcano stage and on the true last boss, Bloody Jitterbug.
I will improve this run of course, and I plan on doing a full run with the extra stages included as well. I've had much higher scores on runs so far that go through the ice stage instead of heading straight to the final stage.
Remember, DeathSmiles is coming out in the U.S. on 6/29/10! I'd highly recommend it to anyone who is either already a fan of shmups or is new to the genre but intrigued by it because the game can be made very accessible to novices by choosing lower difficulty levels for stages. The U.S. release will supposedly come with all the modes (Arcade, XBox 360, 1.1, MBL, MBL 1.1) on the disc, so no need to worry about DLC. I suggest pre-ordering the limited edition because this game is awesome and totally worth it.

New WR as of 1/27/2013. Did an extra zip I didnt do before and had to use a lot less potions this time. Glitchy games can sure be fun sometimes. [OBSOLETE] Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin any% RTA in 17:02](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/M9L-EpZZu6Q/mqdefault.jpg)
