Day 34 of my Europe motorcycle adventure and Albania doesn’t waste any time showing me who’s boss. The day starts smoothly with my first proper border crossing — stamped out of Greece and into Albania with no issues. I even meet a fellow Brit on a bike (Hi Dave from Stafford Motorcycles!) before we part ways further down the road.

But then the skies turn black… and the storm hits. Rain, hail, thunder and lightning hammer down as I push on towards my hotel, arriving absolutely drenched. A wild welcome to Albania, and I’m now close to the Montenegro border ready for the next sprint. Let’s hope tomorrow brings drier roads!
