Day 36 of my European motorcycle journey takes a different turn. With my BMW R1250GS in for a service at the local BMW Motorrad dealer in Mostar (BMW Auto centar Tomić Mostar), I spend the day on foot exploring this historic city.
I walk through the Old Town, cross the world-famous Stari Most bridge, and visit the War Museum. The exhibits there give a powerful and deeply moving insight into the Yugoslav conflict of the 1990s — a stark reminder of how recent and devastating that period was for the people of this region.
For anyone travelling to Bosnia & Herzegovina, I strongly recommend making time to visit the War Museum in Mostar. It’s an experience that will stay with you long after you leave.
