Originally built in 1965 as the Joe Weatherly Stock Car Museum, Darlington Raceway's home of history is likely the oldest NASCAR museum open and often completely forgotten about! We take a tour with Russell Branham who now works in the front office and has been in NASCAR since the late 1980s, starting his career at Darlington Raceway! Some noteworthy items inside include the 1985 Ford Thunderbird Bill Elliott used to win the Winston Million Dollar bonus, Dale Earnhardt's 1996 Daytona 500 car, Cotton Owens/David Pearson Dodge, and personal artifacts from almost every legend in NASCAR and beyond!
