This "pre production" prototype 1998 Ford Taurus was shown to NASCAR in 1997 to gain approval for the incoming body style change. One problem is it was NOT the actual 1998 Ford Taurus... Don Miller of Penske Racing South decided his guys were going to swing the rules in their favor by constructing this aerodynamically modified "prototype" in 1997. The actual modified Taurus is currently at the North Carolina Auto Racing Hall of Fame in Mooresville NC!
