The Queen’s guard is a ,,damage-stress“ team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Leper (damage trinket + accuracy trinket) - damage dealer
2nd: Crusader (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
3rd: Jester (dodge trinket + damage trinket) - deathblow dealer
4th: Plague doctor (accuracy trinket + stress trinket) - stress dealer
PROS:
1) Great damage output
2) Great stress output
3) Great DoT output
4) Great healing potential
5) 2 disruptors
CONS:
1) Marks are a menace
2) Stuns are a menace
3) Stress is a menace
4) DoT is a menace
5) Disruption is a menace
The Queen’s guard is a damage team, that combines also stress and DoT. You have 3 (self)healers and 2 disruptors. Sadly this team is vulnerable against mark and DoT teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „support Crusader“, „the finishers“, „mix damage + DoT“ and „full stress“. I tried both variantions of Plague doctor (stress / DoT), it’s better to stick with DoT variantion.
My advice: Start with Leper for dealing massive damage, next use Jester for buffing the team, then Crusader for stunning someone and lastly Plague doctor for applying DoT.
When RNGsus chose this team for me, I was looking for the original setup and I found other team, that was named like this. I wasn’t sure, if I made a mistake or it was just coincidence, but after while I found the „original source“ - this team was took from DD‘s tournament video by Mikefield [123jman vs Baguera | Bo3 | Qualifiers to Butcher's League | Day 1 Round 1 | Butcher's Circus], where 135jman had this team in his draft, but unfortunately he didn’t play them, so I couldn’t try the original setup. The other team, that have same name as this comp, is one of Sheperd Doggy’s video [THE QUEEN'S GUARD from 135jman! The Butcher's Circus].
Now, my conclusion about this team (tournament team) - it’s horrible. Nice, that you have good damagers and tanks, but that’s it. You can make some stress and DoT, but it’s very low and if you’ll face some mark team, your applied DoT/stress will be cured. Next problem - disruption. Leper in 3rd position is probably “game over”, unless you will push him into the frontline in time. And lastly Plague doctor - an easy target and low-range healing. I lost 3x - 2x against novice players with pure damage team with 2 stunners, and 1x against darkest player with lame “Flagellant-Crusader” duo. Playing this wasn’t enjoyable, you are just relying on pure damage. I don’t like this team, sorry.
