Gang of thieves is a ,,damage-stress" team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Leper (damage trinket + accuracy trinket) - damage dealer
2nd: Bounty hunter (Grappling Mits + accuracy trinket) - deathblow dealer
3rd: Highwayman (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
4th: Jester (dodge trinket + damage trinket) - deathblow dealer
PROS:
1) Mark synergy (Bounty hunter + Highwayman)
2) Great damage output
3) Great stress output
4) 3 disruptors
5) 3 deathblowers
CONS:
1) Marks are a menace
2) Stuns are a menace
3) Stress is a menace
4) DoT is a menance
5) Disruption is a menace
6) Low healing potential
Gang of thieves is a damage team, that combines also a little bit of stress and DoT. You have 3 disruptors, 3 deathblowers, a mark synergy and only 1 self-healer. This team is vulnerable against every possible team, no matter on player’s rank.
I tried to play a few strategies, such as „mix damage + stress“, „full DoT“, „double finisher“ and „full stress“. I tried both variantions of Highwayman (bandit / gunslinger), you MUST HAVE bandit version, or you will lose the match.
My advice: Go to the church or charity establishment and donate some money for a better mood.
Worse than death sentence. Only 1 self-healer, lots of disruptors, but you cannot make a good pressure to the opponent. DoT trinkets won’t save you, nor stress trinkets or strategies. You can be easily disrupted, after using Jester you have no advantages. I spend with this team like… 2+ hours to complete the whole set. Why? Darkest players played only lame „Flagellant-Crusader“ combo, veterans „lame based teams“ and novices had RNGsus on theirs side. I cannot tell you the best strategy, because there isn’t any good strategy. Some teams are good only for novice players, well… with this comp you cannot be sure to win a match.
Playing this was like a planning heist to Fort Knox with your crew, but your crew is unskilled, ill and you are an idiot.
