Bloody banquet is a ,,damage-DoT" team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Flagellant (Gauntlet of absolution + damage trinket) - DoT dealer
2nd: Highwayman (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
3rd: Jester (dodge trinket + damage trinket) - DoT dealer
4th: Occultist (dodge trinket + stress trinket) - stress dealer
PROS:
1) Mark synergy (Occultist + Highwayman)
2) Great damage output
3) Great stress output
4) Great DoT output
5) 2 disruptors
6) 3 deathblowers
CONS:
1) Marks are a menace
2) Stuns are a menace
3) Stress is a menace
4) Disruption is a menace
Bloody banquet is a damage team with great strenght of DoT and stress. All character can make AoE damage, next you have 3 deathblowers (if we count Occultist’s „Sacrificial stab“ on afflicted character), 2 disruptors and 2 healers. Unfortunately this team is vulnerable against mark and stress teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, such as „mix damage + DoT“, „the finishers“, „mark team“ and „mix damage + stress“. I tried both variantions of Highwayman (bandit / gunlinger), the bandit version is MUST HAVE.
My advice: Start with opening the riposte with Highwayman, next use Jester for buffing the team, then Flagellant for applying DoT and lastly Occultist for potential stress dealing or healing.
Another team, that looks good, but unfortunately the reality is way more different. You can make easily the pressure to the opponent, but this team have a great weakness - healing. One RNG-slot machine + one healer, who needs to be on low HP. That doesn’t sound good, because one of your characters drop HP to 0, you must just hope for good healing, otherwise you will be screwed. About 4th match I kinda messed up the setup, Occultist should have „Vulnerability hex“, instead of „Weakening curse“, but this worked too.
I was suprised for 2 victories against darkest players and the excitement was growing. Switching to „full stress“ (all characters with stress trinkets) was really bad idea, this team is DoT oriented, not stress oriented. My turns were countered easily and not even single victory. The defeats were horrible - 1x champion player with stress team, 1x darkest player with stress team, 1x apprentice player with pure damage team, and the last defeat was against apprentice player in rematch.
From the start I was „hyped“, this team would be great, because of pressure. But if you encouter at least one bad RNG turn, you will lose (f.e. Flagellant missed 90% Exsanguinate hit and died). Stick to usual strategy and you will win, otherwise… meh. Hard to say it, but even with victories against darkest players, this was mid.
