Blood and blight is a ,,damage-DoT" team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Highwayman (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
2nd: Hellion (damage trinket + accuracy trinket) - damage dealer
3rd: Occultist (dodge trinket + stress trinket) - stress dealer
4th: Plague doctor (accuracy trinket + stress trinket) - stress dealer
PROS:
1) Mark synergy (Occultist + Highwayman)
2) Debuff synergy (Plague doctor + Hellion)
3) Great damage output
4) Great stress output
5) Great DoT output
6) Great healing potential
7) 3 disruptors
8) 3 deathblowers
CONS:
1) Stress is a menace
2) DoT is a menace
3) Stuns are a menace
4) Marks are a menace
5) Disruption is a menace
Blood and blight is a damage team with great strenght of DoT and stress. You have 3 (self)healers, 3 disruptors, 3 deathblowers (if we count Occultist’s „Sacrificial stab“ on afflicted character) and worthless mark synergy. This team is weak against every possible team, no matter on opponnent’s rank.
I tried to play a few strategies, such as „full stress“, „double finisher“, „mix damage + stress“ and „full DoT“. I tried both variantions of Hellion (damager / stresser), it’s better to stick with damage variantion. And also Plague doctor (stress / DoT), the DoT is better choice. I didn’t try both variantions of Highwayman, because it’s not worth it - mark synergy for low damage output or using one healer for marking someone… not great, if you’ll face… well, any opponent.
My advice: Start with Occultist for disruption, next use Highwayman for dealing damage. Then Hellion for dealing also damage and lastly Plague doctor for healing.
Awful. Team. I don’t have better description for this team. Nice, that you have debuff/mark synergy, but they are not great. I faced many players (novices-darkests) and they beated me easily (darkests because of LAME Flagellant teams and novices because of RNGsus). The pressure is low, your healing is low (2 low-ranged, 1 self-heal, 1 slot machine), bad positioned Highwayman and what’s worse - disruption, you can be easily shuffled and you can’t do anything with that.
Playing this was like doing carpentry works in destroyed toxic rafinery, but you know, you can build only simple birdhouse.
