Hawkeye Gough is one of the Four Knights of Gwyn and the leader of the Greatarchers, who wielded giant bows that fired large, dragon-hunting arrows. His sight was impaired by those who dismissed him as a brutish giant, packing the eye holes of his helm with tree resin; although this did not impair his ability to shoot with deadly precision.
At some point while in Oolacile Gough was imprisoned within a tower. There he has spent his retirement creating innumerable archtree carvings, through which he achieved personal enlightenment.
When spoken to, he makes numerous remarks about the state of affairs in Oolacile, and warns the player about the dreaded Black Dragon Kalameet (but will assist by crippling him with an arrow if requested). He is grateful to the player for laying to rest the corrupt Knight Artorias and takes a liking to the Chosen Undead.
