Dark Heart - Evolution is the latest album from the British melodic heavy metal/hard rock band, released on March 27, 2026 by Pride & Joy Music. It marks a triumphant return, marking the first time the band has released new material with this label.
Formed in the early 1980s, Dark Heart released their debut album, Shadows of the Night, on Roadrunner in 1984, during the NWOBHM era. After a long hiatus, founder and only original member Alan Clark (vocals, keyboards) revived the project in 2024, bringing guitarist Nick Catterick (guitars, keyboards) as an essential creative partner. The sound evolved: moving away from classic NWOBHM and gaining maturity, with modern melodic rock/AOR influences, while maintaining the energy of classic hard rock and metal.
