When I first saw and read about this contest I thought the concept would be fun to try. I've always loved Beauty & the Beast, both the orignal and the Disney adaption. Next to Pocohantas, Belle is my favorite princess thus I had a great time with the idea of Elena as Belle. I tried to be unique with this and I wanted Damon/Elena to become Beauty and the Beast not just symbolize them.
I wanted to show the progression of their relationship through their presumed thoughts, like in a story, hence the quotes. I also wanted to show the growth on Elena's part from being scared of what Damon is, to their dance where she's accepting him. I hope I succeeded :)

The entire thing is just an excuse to use some of my favorite lines from this amazing show, and a chance to turn SG-1 into a comedy :P I have no idea if anyone will find it funny but I enjoyed making it ;)
I would like to dedicate this to my dad. If it hadnt been for him watching SG-1 episodes with me on Sunday nights when I was really little (and without my moms knowledge :P) I probably would never had thought to look it up again years later. He appreciates all aspects of the humor like I do, and we have tons of fun reciting lines together. Upon watching this trailer for the first time he told me it was perfect which means alot coming from him :)

All the judges were really happy about your video; we thought it was your best on this competition so far. You were able to accomplish the task at the best and reach as well all the elements we were looking for. Thats why you are also a favorite of this challenge! Congratulations! You used the fandom really well matching perfectly the essence of the fairytale. The song choice really fit and your editing didnt miss anything until the very end of the video. The use of text and clip selection were the best about your video. There are some interesting details we particularly loved, such as 1:04 when you show Anakins real face under the monster mask. Everything was just placed perfectly. We really thought that the fandom that you chose to use for your fairytale was original because it is definitely not one most would immediately think of when relating to a fairytale. That being said, you really made it work to your advantage. Throughout the video, there was such tension between your beauty and beast and the way you bring the video to its breaking point at 1:27 with the newly uncursed Anakin and the rewinding of Anakin/Padmes relationship while he was still cursed, was truly well done.

Dedicated to my Mom, because she is the one who got me hooked on Beauty & The Beast and because I love her! ;) Also, a big thanks to Rinette for listening to me while I complained about this vid, and to my little brother who helped me remember where all of Vadars best scenes were. Love you both ;)
Ah! Hehe here it is! I have finally finished it! I cant believe its done, and that it came out how I imagined it XD YAY! I dont even know what to say about this challenge, other than that it was the best one yet. XD I have grown up on fairytales (love them SO much!) so to be able to create one was really fun for me. But Im not gonna lie, I was *this* close to pulling my hair out in the beginning, just ask Rinette ;) But then, once I had gotten the initial dialogue in and had worked out how I was going to tell the story, everything seemed to fall into place.
I chose to mimic Beauty & the Beast because it is my all time favorite fairytale and also because it seemed to fit with Star Wars really well. Leave it to me to drag sci-fi into it somehow XD I wanted to make it darker because, to me, fairytales might seem innocent on the surface, but when you dig deeper they really are very dark and twisted tales. I went a little deeper into Belles character in this too. I wanted to show the struggle she would have felt by realizing she was falling for...well, shes not quite sure what it is shes falling for. She sees a monster on the outside but she can really see the good inside of him.
Here are the points that I focused on:
-Padme (Belle)s sweet innocence in the beginning.
-Anakin (The Prince) has some serious anger management issues.
-The Enchantress comes to Anakin and then punishes him by turning him into Darth Vadar.
-She gives him the choice to either find love or stay a monster forever.
-Vadar meets Padme.
-They get to know each other and gradually Padme begins to see the real Anakin.
-Vadars turning point. Instead of giving into his anger, he stops himself.
-Padmes turning point. She realizes that she really does love him and that there is good in him.
-The rewind bit is going back through the story and showing that the whole time Padme was with Vadar she was seeing Anakin.
-The curse is lifted and the two meet for the first time.
-Anakin says sorry to the enchantress.
-They all live happily ever after.
Okay so yeah, thats about it. Sorry to make you read such a long description ;) Oh and be nice about my narrative, I told you, I was having waaaay too much fun with this ;P

Judges Review:
You definitely stood out as far as the editing style for this round. While your competition in this round went for slow and emotional, you went for fast and beaty and we definitely enjoyed it, even if it was somewhat unexpected. First off, your timing throughout the video was on point. The internal movement was great and the song choice was very original. The effects were well done also. The static effect you used matched the song perfectly and it was used at all the right moments during the song. It was as if we could hear the static sound throughout your entry. We really loved how intense you made the movie in the video and how despite the scene movements being fast, everything was easy to pick up on. All in all, we really enjoyed your entry and that made it so much harder to try narrowing it down to a winner. As we looked at your past entries, along with your entry with this round, we finally decided that it is you who deserves to take the title as the winner of Bet on it Competition this season! Wow. I can hardly believe that this is my final entry for the BOIT competition. This challenge the judges gave us free reign. And that is hard. With no guidelines and direction, I had no idea where to start. I think I started about 3 or 4 different projects and I had about 5 different ideas, but I finally decided on this one. I settled on this for a few different reasons.
The first was because the judges asked us to still pick something that would be a challenge. I chose this song because for me, vidding without lyrics is more difficult than vidding with them. I made sure not to stray away from my normal editing style.
I chose Prince of Persia because it is one of my all time favorite movies. I LOVE everything about it, especially the cinematography. Another reason I chose this was because the judges have already seen me use dialogue and tell a story, but with this vid its just me having fun with an epic song and an epic movie. ;)
I wanted to say thank you so much again for allowing me to participate in this competition. I have had *so* much fun throughout this entire experience. The challenges have forced me to come out of my comfort zone and try things I never would have imagined. I believe that this has definitely helped me grow as a vidder. ;) So thank you, Ive really enjoyed it. :)

I have seen alot of maniped vids to this trailer using many of my favorite shows/movies including Fringe and Doctor Who, but after SweetLadyBats genius Lord of the Inception I decided to make my own.
I rewatched the original trailer and was surprised at how many similar shots there are in Stargate SG-1, because of that this vid was so much fun to edit.
