Cyborg Justice might be one of the weirdest games ever released on the Sega Genesis… and that’s exactly why it’s worth talking about.
This is a beat ‘em up where you don’t just fight enemies — you literally rip their limbs off and attach them to yourself mid-game. Arms, legs, torsos… everything can be swapped, changing how your character plays in real time.
It’s janky. It’s clunky. And yeah, it definitely didn’t age perfectly. But underneath that rough exterior is a surprisingly ambitious system that feels way ahead of its time — almost like an early version of a loot or build system.
The problem is, most people never gave it a chance. It didn’t play like other beat ‘em ups, and because of that, it got overlooked.
But going back to it now, Cyborg Justice feels like one of those forgotten experiments that actually tried something different… and that alone makes it worth checking out.
