Whether it’s Nintendo Switch Sports leaving baseball out entirely or the lack of a new Mario Superstar Baseball game, it feels like one of Nintendo’s most beloved sports has been left on the bench.
Meanwhile, Nintendo continues to support sports like tennis and golf, both through Mario sports titles and their casual sports collections.
So what happened?
Baseball was one of the most popular events in the original Wii Sports. Mario Superstar Baseball remains one of the most requested Mario sports games among fans. And yet every new sports announcement seems to find room for everything except baseball.
