On this video I use math to estimate the size of map of Cyberpunk 2077 and compared with popular open world games. Developers said multiple times that it could be smaller than the Witcher 3 games. But based on latest estimations it is actually way bigger. The whole map could be as big as GTA V map, and the urban area is vastly bigger. For reference the city of Novigrad from Witcher 3 has only 0.25 km² of area, Los santos from Gran Theft Auto V have a urban area of 8.25 km² and according to my estimates, Night city urban area could have anything from 20.5 km² up to 42.5 km². This is HUGE!

Also, according to the latest livestream on MadQueen show (youtu.be/eLsSAMCCrV0?t=2468) Miles Tost says that the exploration of Night city is much more intimate when compared to other games. The verticality of the city is truly stunning.

Also, according to the World of Cyberpunk 2077 lore book, Night City size is about 75 km² which is significantly bigger than my estimate.
