He works in a fantastical genre all his own, combines modern, popular, and classical influences, and manages to create intricate worlds with detailed, often humorous scenes that are rendered on a tiny scale. His masterpieces have been shown at the MET, the Guggenheim, and some of the world's most prominent galleries such as the Smithsonian American Art Museum where his work "MVSEVM" is on permanent display. This documentary sheds light upon some of his greatest works such as "Bandshell For A Myopic Orchestra", "L'Opéra", "The Bar", "Rhino Rama", "Kowtowed in Bovineville", "All Fish Humming Band", "Flamingo A-Go-Go", and the "Dodo Museum". It also gives an intimate insight into what it takes to create such masterpieces: an almost eerie ability to focus on the work, a lot of patience, and of course extraordinary ideas.
