Yes, I am once again bringing you my newest obsession Charmine! And it is once again for an MEP by @-sugarush Will she ever get sick of my shit? Who knows! I at least didn't keep bugging her with my "I haven't edited for a full year and dunno wtf I'm doing now lol pls send help" this time... I'm feeling more confident again! Mostly... I'll get there eventually. Hopefully.
Anyway! The story here is hopefully straightforward enough; Jasmine seeks out the help of Cupid to find out if the prince she has her eyes on is actually worth of her affection or not. Cupid goes "bet, babygirl" and uses her mirror to check out who Aladdin really is and he... is a fuck boy. Yup, the mirror shows his true soul and his true soul is a fucking hoebag who flirts with any woman with a pulse. This of course saddens Jasmine and Cupid tries to comfort her and... open ending. Cliffhanger. Whatever you wanna call it.
This project actually made me want to do a full video with the entire story cause there was a lot I just couldn't fit into less than 30 seconds. And even as is, I am genuinely worried it is still rushed... but SugarRush permitted me to keep the ending more neutral rather than having Cupid hit on Jasmine the moment she finds out the guy she was crushing on is a fuck boi... he felt too much like a fuck boi too if I did that đ Either way, it's always more motivating to have people interested in a project so if that's something you want to see, do let me know!
And another thing that I actually did in my former Charmine video too, but it was less obvious... I have, what I am choosing to call, "fixed" Jasmine's skin color (and her jewelry). What I mean by that is that I have always found it a bit odd (and potentially problematic) that everyone's skin color in Aladdin is very... red. Almost as red as the Native Americans in Peter Pan. Which is... not cool. Back when I was in @MxDisney 2024, that was one of the main reasons I decided to make Jasmine black rather than keep her Arabian, so I could experiment with her skin color a bit more. I am planning on continuing to change her skin color this way in future videos. Oh, and the same with her jewelry. It has never made historically sense that Jasmine, a princess, is wearing bronze jewelry... so since I am making her skin less red, I might as well make her jewelry actually gold. Now it's at least a little bit more realistic and historically accurate. Not a lot, but at least more than Disney's original design of her.
I think I'm done babbling now.

Im still not over the fact that this anime got a reboot and Im honestly kinda happy that I didnt know about it until it actually premiered. Having to wait for it when they first announced it would have been torture xD I am SO READY to gush over this show as it progresses and Im very pleased with it so far! Sure theres a few things I could be happier with, but the pros HUGELY outweighs the cons - and its pretty clever that they decided to stay true to the manga this time. It means well know whatll happen, but it also means we get to look forward to a lot of iconic moments we didnt get to see in the original anime. Im so happy Dx

I loved this short movie, its so unbelievably adorable. So when Hermuuna Moon opened an MEP inspired by it, I just had to join, and Im so glad I did. I tried doing some different hearts, but every single one I made I ended up disliking. Either it was too plain, too cutesy, too... wrong. It couldnt do the original one justice, so I ended up doing a 2D version of the original heart instead. You cant top the original, its so cute xD
