This is my part for Hermunaa Moon's upcoming MEP inspired by the short movie In A Heartbeat!

I loved this short movie, it's so unbelievably adorable. So when Hermuuna Moon opened an MEP inspired by it, I just had to join, and I'm so glad I did. I tried doing some different hearts, but every single one I made I ended up disliking. Either it was too plain, too cutesy, too... wrong. It couldn't do the original one justice, so I ended up doing a 2D version of the original heart instead. You can't top the original, it's so cute x'D

EDIT: Looking back at my description, it just wasnt fair to only tell my end of the story. It was unfair to my ex, who doesnt have a way to share his side of things the same way I do here. I let my emotions decide things for a while, and I take full responsibility for that. Since this, my ex and I have talked things out. And, surprise, my emotions truly had taken over my brain; I misunderstood his intentions and we agreed we should have TALKED way earlier than we did cause our only contact during this period was through text and its so easy to misunderstand each other that way. All is good with the world! Well remain in contact and Ive wished him all the best and luck with his new girlfriend whom I truly hope he can build something solid with ❤️
Oh, and a little shoutout to @alexastock for sending me music she thought matched my situation, this song being one of them. And thank you to everyone who has commented, sent me asks or even PMed me to make sure I was ok ❤️ And Im sorry to Christopher for all the shit hes been put through xD

So... those of you who keep an eye on my community tab or tumblr will see that theres some manips Ive shared this last week that didnt make it into the video. Well, the reason is that this story actually wound up being changed 3 times... due to time restrictions.
As usual, I always wish I had more seconds to work with to really tell the entire story and yes, I have actually written down the initial story I came up with for Christopher and Jasmine, so Im hoping to make that into a full crossover someday.
So the story became condensed into this; Jasmine is celebrating her first Christmas with Christopher, getting to experience a bit of his culture and religion, when he drops on one knee and proposes to her. Her answer is obviously yes and being the impatient lovebirds that they are, the prepare the most lowkey wedding you possibly could in a week so they get married just before the New Year. Outside in the fucking snow cause, damn, when youre such a hot couple the cold REALLY never bothered you anyway.

Not my usual crosesover work, but this was a fun challenge! And a challenge IT WAS. Not only did I choose two fluffy characters to work with (yes, Im a masking masochist, go ahead and kinkshame me) but they are both tall and therefore usually look downwards to whoever theyre talking to, so I had to either choose shots where they DONT look down or edit their eyes to change the direction - well, this was mostly an Angel Dust problem cause Stolas... doesnt have pupils, but still! xD
There are far more manips going on in this video than you might realize, so lemme just vindicate my sanity by humble-bragging and tell you each manip, mkay?

So hes living his best life. Outside of that, its literally just whatever scenes I thought of to match the vibe of the song. Is Stolust officially a new ship of mine? Maybe. Kinda. But I do love their canon partners soooo... maybe just for funsies xD

I didnt get to do everything I wanted for this round and its partially my fault and partially just life getting in the way, as it does xD I will be able to focus much more on round 2 so some of the flavor stuff that should have been in round 1 will be pushed to 2 so that video might turn out to be pretty long... prepare thyselves xD
Sophia Gallagher is a beautiful, kind girl whose only apparent flaw is bringing her brother to school when their mother is too sick to care for him. Thats all anybody knows about Sophia Gallagher. And she intends to keep it that way.
Sophia is one of the students who have applied for the full scholarship Principal Amzy has promised one of her senior students. During Sophias elective - music - she remembers the interview they are all expected to participate in. After Mr. Dearly allowing her to leave her brother in the class, she rushes and makes the interview just in time, but not without the principal remind her that her being late is a common occurrence.
During the interview, Sophia reveals she wants to pursue a career as a vocalist, which shes aware is a difficult career to get into, but swears upon her determination to be successful. Sophia also informs her teachers that she spends her free time working to support her ill mother. What this job is though, she doesnt reveal... but given she often has to bring her brother with her whenever her mother is too ill to take care of her, it does make you wonder what kind of job she could even have?
During a field trip, Sophia brings her brother with her who is so excited that he trips over his own two feet. For the school project, Sophia has brought her own camera with her, her most precious and expensive possession.
When Brennnan starts imaging the T Rex coming to life, Sophia plays along and pretends the T Rex is indeed alive. Brennan overshares to the dinosaur though, which one of Sophias classmates, Pepper, overhears. Taking her eyes away from Brennan just a moment gives him just enough time to run up the dinosaur and scream for his sister to take a picture. Grabbing her camera, Sophia quickly snaps a few pictures that she decides to NOT turn in to her teachers because shed really rather not have them tell her she cant bring her brother with her anymore. That would be a very big problem. So those pictures were made for personal use only and she snapped other pictures with her brother safely back in her arms.
During the museum, Sophia remembers the interview when Principal Amzy asked her if she had any questions for them... and she truly only had one; can you bring a child with you to college?

I cant say how proud I am of this video! I got to experiment with some ghost effects, I got to use the GORGEOUS The garden of words movie AND I got to use two characters Ive wanted to edit with for a long time. And they are both as easy to mask as they look, like holy crap. This is, in my opinion, a really good beginner ship for those who want to get into crossover editing, but are intimidated by how long time youd have to spend masking. Odette and Charming have zero stray hairs, and their outfits dont have little details that flow everywhere when they move.
And ya know what, as a side note, I kinda ship these two now. Imma have to throw them into one of my Hollina universes or smth xD
