Enjoy a view from the front of an inbound CTA Brown Line train as we travel down the elevated line toward a stop at Irving Park Station! Though it’s cold and snowy outside, the CTA train is nice and warm as it whisks passengers into the city to start their day. Opened in 1907 by the Northwestern Elevated Railroad, Irving Park Station is in the North Center neighborhood of Chicago and features two side platforms. It was rebuilt between 2007 and 2008 as part of the CTA’s Brown Line Capacity Expansion Project, which brought necessary improvements allowing for the operation of eight-car trains. A connection can be made at Irving Park with CTA Bus Route No. 80.
