In early October 2023, new ballast was put in place along new stretches of train tracks next to a new set of diamonds at the CSX Transportation-Norfolk Southern Railway crossing at Marion Station, Ohio. The new diamonds were installed the last week of September 2023. Ballast was dumped onto & next to the tracks. Ballast regulator and ballast tamper equipment moved the rocks around to improve support under the ties and rails.
