Sharing a real-time ribbing video with sound.
This is my Legare 400 with a 96 needle slot cylinder and a 48 needle slot ribber dial working 1x1 ribbing.
Project is using Opal Adventure in the “Kontinentensprung“ (Continent Leap) color way. Special thanks to the awesome Anna Fischer for offering such wonderful fiber.
Video demonstrates sounds involved with using a ribber on a Chambord CSM - Tricoteuses Circulaires refurbished vintage CSM (this closed CAM Legare 400), how quickly yarn can feed off the source and the movements involved. Experiencing this as it functions helps clarify why we prepare yarn (wind it into cones or bobbins) prior to using that yarn on a knitting machine.
