Working a heel on your CSM can be easy! Check out this No Wrap Short Row Heel demoed on my @chambordcsm Accuknitter.
The SweetSpot V Hook and weight are used in this demo. Note how little I move the heel weight. It can be _this_ easy.
This video with sound starts with the back half needles lifted from the _second_ needles behind 3/9 and the first row lifting two needles on the right then left.
This start (lifting needles from the second needle behind 3/9 not at those points with the first to the left then right rows starting with two needles lifted utilizes the interlock stitch to reduce heel intersection hole). Note that I’m watching all knitting worked by the needles to ensure it stays down against the cylinder for stitch success and that each row I go all the way back before returning to ensure the first needles of each row have reset and will be going up not down when they start to move.
