Presenting a detailed silent overview on how to easily make the wonderful Katrinkles adjustable sock blockers into an essential and reliable sizing tool for knitted socks. Simply add sizing labels to the front and back foot segments then adjust the sock blockers to the desired size. Apply your knitted socks on the sock blockers to confirm the created socks will fit the recipient. As when worn on an actual foot it’s important the heel sits correctly. I’ve included an image to demonstrate that.
Sizing is best done after socks are fully finished, rested, cold net bag washed then hung to dry.
Socks by nature have a best fit when they are built slightly shorter than a foot so they stretch slightly. Note some fibres will alter over time with even the best laundering approach however I find size change can be minimized by cold washing in a net bag then hung to dry even if the fibre states other care options.
