When making a sock on a circular sock machine, if you add the ribber while using scrap yarn, one of the issues is how to thread the sock yarn at the starting point (while not tangling on the scrap yarn you were using). Here is a quick and easy way to transfer to sock yarn using a modified flatbed knitting machine transfer needle (with ribber on the machine). One can also use a very long latch hook.
