Empress 1908 0.0 Indigo is one of my favorite bottles for building refreshing, low ABV-inspired serves, and this might just be the most crushable one yet.
Its bright botanical profile pairs beautifully with a homemade cucumber and lemon-infused white vermouth, creating a cocktail that's crisp, citrusy, lightly savory, and incredibly refreshing. Think of it as an afternoon on the Mediterranean coast in a glass.
I used a cream whipper to flash-infuse the vermouth in just a few minutes, but if you don't have one, letting it infuse overnight in the fridge will get you surprisingly close.
✨ **Cocktail**
• 2 oz Empress 1908 0.0 Indigo
• 2 oz cucumber & lemon-infused white vermouth
• ½ oz fresh lemon juice
• 2 oz sparkling water
Build over ice, give it a gentle stir, and finish with a few Castelvetrano olives.
✨ **Cucumber & Lemon-Infused Vermouth**
• 10 oz (300 ml) sweet white vermouth
• 75 g cucumber
• 25 g lemon peel
**Flash infusion:** Add everything to a cream whipper, charge with 2 N₂O cartridges (shaking after each charge), let rest for 2–3 minutes, carefully vent the gas, then filter through a coffee filter.
**No cream whipper?** Combine everything in a jar and let it infuse in the refrigerator overnight before straining.
The cucumber brightens the botanicals, the lemon adds freshness, and the vermouth brings just enough richness to let **Empress 1908 0.0 Indigo** shine from the first sip to the last.
Would you try the flash infusion, or let it steep overnight?
