In my crochet tutorial today I’ll be showing you how to make this crochet tiger applique.

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colors (110) Black, (393) Charcoal, (105) Bridal White and (189) Royal Orange. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends and a pair of scissors. Thread and needle to stitch the tiger together. Black and grey thread to embroider on markings. A small black bead for the eye if desired. White thread or white fabric paint for a dot in centre of bead of desired.
The finished size will be 23cm wide x 10.5cm high (9” wide x 4” high) for the larger tiger, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the tiger in Catona will be 19cm wide x 9cm high (7.5” wide x 3.5” high). The medium tiger will be 16.5cm wide x 8cm high (6.5” wide x 3” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small tiger will be 13cm wide x 5cm high (5” wide x 2” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
