This is a very simple pattern for a scarf. I have a full tutorial for this stitch pattern by its self, but I created a scarf for myself which I wanted to share.
All you need is DK yarn lightweight no 3 and a 4mm crochet hook
You do not need to the single crochet edging or the fringe you can keep it completely plain too.
Cast on an EVEN number of chains to begin
