Just a few miles southeast of Manhattan, KS lays the Pillsbury Crossing Wildlife Area. There you can find one of The 8 Wonders Of Kansas Geography at Pillsbury Crossing! Underneath the waters of Deep Creek, a stone shelf provides a convenient ford that was once used by the early settlers of The Flint Hils and the Manhattan area. A short distance away, the shelf breaks off and becomes Deep Creek Falls. This 60 foot long water fall has become a favorite relaxation spot for the locals of Riley County, KS. It is a must see if you are ever in the Manhattan area! The Falls are beautiful all day long, but we highly suggest visiting in the evening and taking in a beautiful Kansas sunset!
