Welcome back for another edition of Crew Cuts! In this family adventure we are returning to Konza Prairie Biological Station near Manhattan, KS for the first time this year to hike the King's Creek Loop. An exstension of the Konza Prairie Nature Trail, King's Creek Loop runs approximately 4.8 milesthrough a beautiful tallgrass prairie ecosystem. Up rolling hills and through gallery forests, the trail is a a perfect example of what hiking in Kansas has to offer. On this occasion we even caught a glimpse of the Konza Prairie Bison herd far off in the distance. Recent snows made it quite a muddy trail for us but that didn't deter us from having an excellent outdoor adventure hiking on the prairie.
