LET THE ISLAND HOPPING ...BEGIN!!!!
Joe and I took a ferry from Athens to Chania, Crete. From Chania we took a local bus to Rethimno. Crete (or Kriti) is the largest island of all the over 1,000 islands off of Greece! We wish we had more time to explore because there is so much to do. Crete was super affordable and we loved spending money on food the most. Because Greek food is amazing! We got to try some we've never had before AND took some shots of local liquors.
With the invasion of the Republic of Venice in the 1500's, came lots of Venetian architecture which could be found everywhere. We visited the Venetian Harbour, Lighthouse and Fortress!
