Emily will talk about how, as a collective, we have a duty to help change the fact that 400,000 children and young people in the UK do not have any books at home and what we can do to increase repesentation, especially in children's literature.
Emily's grassroots activism and strong ties within the Folkestone community have helped build a campaign that has accessibility and education at its heart. Her talk will take in some of the themes of Creative Folkestone Triennial 2021 -‘The Plot’.
