Creative Folkestone Triennial returns! Get ready to explore The Plot this summer!
The fifth edition of Creative Folkestone Triennial will run from Thursday 22 July – Tuesday 2 November 2021, presenting around 27 newly commissioned site-specific artworks by internationally acclaimed artists that invite you to explore the town and its urban tales.
Curated for the third time by Lewis Biggs, the 2021 Triennial, entitled The Plot, invites visitors to consider urban myths and their relation to verifiable realities: the gap between the story and the actuality.
Folkestone Triennial 2021 artists include:
Assemble, Atta Kwami, Bill Woodrow, Bob and Roberta Smith, Christopher Houghton Budd, Diane Dever, genuinefake, Gilbert & George, HoyCheong Wong, Simon Davenport and Shahed Saleem, Jacqueline Donachie, Jacqueline Poncelet, Jason Wilsher-Mills, Jyll Bradley, Mariko Hori, Mike Stubbs, Morag Myerscough, Patrick Corillon, Pilar Quinteros, Rana Begum, Richard Deacon, Sam Belinfante, Shezad Dawood, Stephenie Bergman, Tina Gverović and Winter/Hörbelt.
