Cedar Point & Lake Erie #4, originally Carbon Limestone Co. #34, started life as a 38 gage 0-4-0 built by the H.K. Porter Locomotive Co. in March 1942. The engine joined the CP&LE roster in 1965 and was known for many years as Victoria. Renamed George R. in 1981, the #4 is still in service there on the CP&LE. I had the good fortune to run Victoria and the other engines at Cedar Point during the summer of 1967, and that gave me the opportunity to shoot some footage and record sound that is probably unique from those early days.
