My wife, daughter and I are driving our RV to every Cowboys game this year (home and away). This will give us some good insight on various stadiums, fan experiences, and atmospheres of many NFL teams.
This week, we're at MetLife stadium to face the Jets.
First things first: the area surrounding the stadium is really great. Many football related activities: kicking field goals, QB accuracy challenge, inflatable linemen, etc. and a lot of entertainment all around. We were really impressed by MetLife stadium.
(Not to mention: it doesn't have a roof! Will make our return visit vs the Giants in week 18 quite interesting... and COLD!)
Once the game started, it pretty quickly got out of hand. The Jets played pretty badly. It was 24-3 at halftime, and the Jets fans were booing. It's gotta be tough being a Jets fan. It really looks like Justin Fields is not the answer. Breece Hall was a bright spot, he had some good runs, but an untimely fumble really hurt the team.
We even noticed one Jets fan with a bag on his head. That about sums it up. They're embarrassed, and I felt bad for them.
The couple sitting beside me were season tickets holders since 1977. They were frustrated with the team, seemingly from the opening kickoff. I guess they knew what was to come.
Anyway, the Cowboys got a much needed victory to pull us to 2-2-1. Next week is Carolina... which is another winnable game, and the added bonus is it will be a very short drive for us.
