Thanks for listening to my cover of "Slide Away", originally by Miley Cyrus! Sorry it's not Drift Away v: Visually, I wanted to practice illustrating for myself and animating a video in After Effects. The arrangement was kept simple as I wanted to practice filling in space with overdubs and harmonies rather than a loud instrumental.

The song choice comes from going through quite a few emotional shake ups in my personal relationships lately (I'll talk about them when I release the 'inspired by' original songs).

I could really relate to the lyrics and that whole off-again-on-again thing .. This is dedicated to the same person "IDWK", "When it Rains", "Upon a Twilight" and "Thanatos" - If I Can't Be Yours - was inspired by.

7 years of ups and downs and goodbyes and reunions with this person.

We said goodbye again about half a year ago now ... Miley and Liam may be done for good but who knows how many times this cycle will repeat for me, or if we'll ever arrive at a place of true resolution.

It's not like I actively want to repeat 1000 times, but in serious relationships I'm committed to maybe a fault and it's really hard for me to be in love with someone and not fight for it. It always seems to come to an end regardless .. and this ending was particularly toxic. Lately, I just want to be completely alone.

But OKAY no more, I'll talk more about it later in the originals.
