A man was charged with attempted murder after police said he attacked his sister in a car that went into the Hudson River.

Police said Ahmed Hemedan, 20, of Lark Street allegedly strangled his sister while she was driving, causing the car to go into the river. Police said Hemedan was charged after the car went into the water at about 3 p.m. Sunday, August 9.
