Corporal Punishment was a Finnish Thrashy Death metal band formed in 1991 ( Probably earlier ). THe band's first line-up consisted of Ali in the bass and vocals (ex - Brainwash ) and Lare Nieminen in guitars (Dirty Damage, Oppression) and drummer from the famous Finnish Speed/Thrash band Airdash, Ykä aka Agathon Frosteus. Later band also featured another member of Airdash, the lead guitarist Markku "Nirri" Niiranen . The band used to support Death metal bands like Paradise Lost and Amorphis ,before getting their another record deal. THe band released their first labeled release "Walls - The Doom" "Single" in 1991 through C.P. After this band got signed to Finnish Spinefarm records, through which they released their first full-length "Profaned Relics" in 1992. The album was recorded in Arabia studios in Helsinki, and produced with assistance of Timo Tolkki (Stratovarius). The next album "Into the Nerve of Pain" was also recorded in the same place, with assistance of Timo Tolkki again. Later the band got signed to the bigger German Black Mark Production. They released their third and last album "Stonefield of a Lifetime" in 1997, before splitting up.
