You’ve probably seen older Chinese people in parks doing this common Qi Gong move for longevity. This simple move wakes up the DU energy channel that runs up your spine. In Chinese medicine it’s known for controlling all Yang Qi (energy) in your body.

This means it can clear excess heat, or conversely it can even build heat for those who don’t generate enough. Either way, it’s a very important energy channel to keep flowing and healthy bc it support so many important functions in the body from metabolism, fertility, focus, energy levels to back strength.

Start with your feet firmly planted to the ground, give your knees a slight bend. Then twist your spine from left to right as you slap your hands where they land (one on the back and one on your front abdomen). Do this for 3-5 minutes per day or when you’ve been sitting working for too long and losing focus.

Try it and let us know what you think!
