I take my new Contax G1 35mm film camera out for a first look with a first-time model while also testing Fujifilm Eterna 250D cinema film, alongside Eastman Kodak 5222 (also sold as Cinestill BwXX) and Kodak Vision3 250D. A lot of film photography firsts here. This was a first time around with the Contax autofocus rangefinder film camera that is the older sibling of the more popular Contax G2 and a cousin of the wildly famous Contax T2. The camera was created in the 1990s as an answer to Leica's legendary M rangefinder series. My model, Catherine, was also trying to get a feel for what it is like to model for a camera, and I give hints about how to guide someone who isn't familiar with being in front of a camera, and things you can do to help put them at ease.
